Camila Iliani Quero was born on June 1, 2009. It was a very special and nerve racking day for me as you can imagine. The contractions began at approximately 4:00 am, I thought they were just cramps! They got stronger and stronger and we went to the hospital at 2 pm, just to be told that I was only dilated to 2 cm, and was sent back home with a serious shot of morphine to wait out the pain. Jos, JQ and I went back home and I walked a couple of laps around the apartment complex to make the contractions intensify. Finally by 10pm I couldn't take it anymore and we went back to the hospital and I was at 4 cm so they let me stay! I got a shot of pitosin and the wonderful epidural and took a nap (I know, who does that!) By 6 am I started pushing and it only took about 50 mins (would have been shorter if Dr. Broadbent had gotten there a LITTLE SOONER). The funny thing was that Jonathan would not look below my neck! He just counted 1, 2, 3...9,10 and looked straight at me. Jos, on the other hand was a trooper, she witnessed the epidural and birthing! Finally, our little bundle of joy was born! I was so scared because everyone just kept commenting on how much hair she had, I just thought "woah, did I give birth to a little monkey!". On the contrary, she was the cutest, pale-est little thing I ever and I give thanks that she was born super healt
